Dear Traveling Book Foundation:
The Community Informatics Initiative at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of Illinois, acknowledges the Traveling Book Foundation for its efforts to develop information and communication technologies for people with visual disabilities in Romania.
During its twelve years of existence the Foundation has developed unique grassroots projects for blind and visually impaired community members. Traveling Book's actions have opened the road for other associations to start engaging local communities in helping and sustaining just and participatory projects.
The Community Informatics Initiative recognizes the Traveling Book Foundation's work and awards it a prize of $100.
